San Antonio Current: ‘El Parche’ slips away


Here is an article that is well written, however I am pretty disappointed at the cover picture of the paper.  The cover honors Steve Jordan, but shows a PIANO accordion! Here is a picture…

When has the great Steve Jordan ever been known for his skills on the PIANO accordion?  Someone at the paper should have known better! This is a San Antonio paper after all!

On another note, the local newspaper “Conexion” had the cover talking about Tejano Music with a picture of Michael Salgado and his PIANO accordion.  Michael Salgado is a weak imitation of Norteño legend Ramon Ayala.  Give me a break…

    I hear you loud and Clear.! Let me tell, some people needs to be educated concerning our Tejano Music and Entertainment. Some of them don’t know the different between a Piano Accordion and Button Accordion.! The same goes with Music… some of them don’t know the different between Tejano Music and Norteno Music.! There is Tejano, Conjunto and Tex-Mex and each one is played in a Unique Style. In Tejano Mu
