Boni Jordan to pay tribute to his brotherPosted: May 12, 2011
Ten years ago today, Bonifacio “Boni” Jordan was taking his bows with his brother Esteban “Steve” Jordan at Rosedale Park.
“El Parche” had just made his triumphant return to the Tejano Conjunto Festival.
The accordion genius had boycotted the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center‘s music fest for five years. But that night, the original Los Hermanos Jordan were living it up, arriving in a white limousine to play for more than 4,000 fans.
That year, the festival celebrated the life of Valerio Longoria. On Friday, organizers will be paying tribute to Steve Jordan, who died Aug. 13.
And Boni Jordan will be there – again.
